King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah and Life Support Training Centre - Postgraduate Education & Academic Affairs announce the 2013 schedule of the "Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS)" which will be held at Ibn Sinaa Hall, MC-1, Jeddah.


Synopsis:

  • ACLS courses are designed to enhance the health care professional’s ability to treat and manage (as a team) adult patients during cardiac arrest.
  • Direct team members during the resuscitation and manage the patient in the immediate post resuscitation phase.
  • The course will provide the participant with the most up to date information and protocols for Acute Cardiac Care Advanced Life Support in accordance with the standards guidelines of the American heart Association (AHA).

Objectives:

The participants upon complete will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the concepts and principals of airway management.
  • Recognize and appropriate manage non lethal arrhythmias and lethal cardiac disrhythmias.
  • Demonstrate competency with defibrillation and cardio version.
  • Understand the indications, mechanism of action and dosing of major drugs used in resuscitation.
