The Department of Anesthesiology , King Abdulaziz Medical City in collaboration with the Postgraduate Education & Academic Affairs of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences will host the "1st NGHA Conference on Pain Management and 2nd Meeting for the Saudi Society of Pain Medicine" (SSPM) on 9-11 October 2012 at the College of Medicine Auditorium.
This is the first conference of its kind to be held at NGHA. It is a great opportunity to gather pain specialists, and other health care providers dealing with the management of pain, to exchange views and practices in this field.
Pain is considered a disease and not a symptom. It is considered the most common reason for people to seek emergency care, yet, it is still considered to be undertreated and not a priority for health care providers and institutions worldwide.
This conference is a great opportunity to focus on the global problem of pain management. Its theme “Future Horizons in Pain Management” will shed lights on the current situation of pain and future advances that we aim to reach at in treating pain.
