Main Information

This symposium aims to raise the awareness of the current developments and understanding of Liver Pathology.

This symposium is geared for the practicing pathologists and clinicians involve in managing liver diseases.

Specifically, the themes of discussion shall encompass the current concepts of:

  1. The Role of Stem Cells in Liver Diseases; Differential Diagnosis; Prognosis of Diseases covered in this symposium namely: Fatty Liver Disease, Liver Fibrosis & Cirrhosis, Pathological Classification, grading and Staging Autoimmune Liver Diseases, Viral Hepatitis, Drug Induced Liver Injury, Liver Biopsies in Pediatric Metabolic Disorders & Neonatal Cholestasis, Vascular disorders and the Liver Tumors.
  2. The limitations & pitfalls encountered in the interpretation of Liver Biopsies.
  3. Clarify appropriate ancillary approaches.

Please note that there will be a Workshop (Slide Seminar) on Thursday, 18 March 2010.
