The department has 98 multinational workforce and composed of consultants, clinical scientists, supervisors, medical technologists, laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, runners, and clerical support staff.

Three Consultant Anatomic Pathologists (including the chairperson) are responsible for surgical pathology/Cytopathology reporting of the two hospitals, KAH (King Abdulaziz - Al Ahsa) and IABFH (Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal Hospital –Dammam).

• Clinical Scientist, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Masaud, Head of Clinical Chemistry.
• Consultant Microbiologist, Dr. Mugheis Uddin Ahmad, Head of Microbiology and Serology/Immunology.
