The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at King Abdulaziz Hospital is a CAP (College of American Pathologists) accredited modern medical laboratory in this tertiary care center.  The department serves ambulatory and inpatients, and supports primary health clinics.  It also provides special microbiology tests, complete anatomic pathology, and Cytopathology services to Al Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal Hospital in Dammam.  The laboratory runs a highquality 24-hour service, which ran a total of 3,937,650 tests in 2008.

The year 2009 has witnessed our successful College of American Pathologists (CAP) inspection and we are now one of the first few CAP accredited labs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
