The Health Promotion Services ensures that all National Guard patients and their families are provided with the best quality of education, in accordance with JCAHO standards, to increase their knowledge and skills, regarding the disease process, preventing diseases, treatment plans, and treatment alternative.

Increasing capacity is innately built into the process of education and learning for both the provider and the recipient. By disseminating evidence based knowledge and practical experience in health promotion and health education, the momentum of a healthy population is moved forward.

Health Promotion Services is responsible for Health Education, Patient Education, Community Education, Producing Health Education Materials, School Health Programs and the Activities of National and International Health Days. Additionally, the HPS sponsors Health Awareness events in numerous topics frequently throughout the year.
