Primary patient diagnoses

  • Haematology conditions – Sickle Cell Anaemia, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia, Thallassaemia, Haemophilia, Glanzman Disease.
  • Immunology – Severe combined immuno deficiency syndrome, hypo gamma globulinaemia, hyper IGE syndrome, HLA deficiency.
  • Gastroenterology / Hepatobilliary – Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis, Wilson disease, Criggler Nagger Syndrome, Crohn's disease, Billiary Atresia and post liver transplant, etc.
  • Medical conditions include respiratory, neurology, infectious diseases and metabolic cases. Surgical conditions include general-surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, Oro-maxillo facial and plastics.

Procedures

  • Paediatric physical assessment
  • blood and blood products administration
  • IVIG, Infliximab, Rituximab
  • TPN infusions
  • IV insertions, drug dosage calculation and administration
  • Care of patient on conscious sedation and airway management
  • Care and management of central lines
  • Transport for procedure e.g. CT, MRI, Endoscopy. Liver Biopsy, Bone Marrow Aspiration, Milk scan, Upper GI study, Palliative, etc.

Primary patient diagnoses

Respiratory disorders, failures, infections, ARDS hemodynamic instability, post cardio pulmonary arrest, MVA, traumatic brain injury, neurological deficit / disorders, organ transplant – liver / renal, acute / chronic, liver / renal failure, metabolic / endocrine disorders, post operative care of general surgery, airway surgery plastic, oro maxilofacial, urology and neurosurgery, pain management, oncology / haematology, burns, sepsis, organophosphate poisoning/drug ingestion, post operative management of conjoined twins separated. 

Procedures

  • Conventional ventilatory support
  • High frequency oscillatory ventilation, intubation / extubation, tracheostomy tube care
  • initiation and care of central / arterial line
  • hemodynamic monitoring of vasopressors, inotropes blood and blood products, continuous peritoneal dialysis
  • initiation of CRRT (CVVH)
  • epidural analgesia and PCA assistance with insertion and management of patient with chest tube
  • brain death protocol
  • organ donation
  • moderate (conscious) sedation
