The Cardiopulmonary Department provides the highest quality of diagnostic procedures in the following areas:
  • Respirology (Pulmonary Function Lab):

    All pulmonary function tests routinely performed in Pulmonary Function Lab
    • Spirometry with / without bronchodilator.
    • Lung volume measurement using Body Plethysmograph.
    • Gas Transfer Factor Test (DLCO) using Single Breath Hold Technique.
    • Bronchial Challenge Tests using Metacholine.
    • Arterial Blood Gas assessment.
    • Respiratory Muscle Strength (MIPS/MEPS).
    • Exercise Challenge Testing.
    • Portable Spirometry.

  • Cardiology (Echo Lab And Ecg Unit)

    The following cardiac diagnostic procedures are performed in Echo Lab and ECG unit;
    • ECG's.
    • Holter monitoring
    • 24 Hours Blood Pressure Monitoring (Ambulatory)
    • Exercise Stress Testing
    • Myoview / Dobutamine Stress / Persantin Myoview
    • Tilt Table test
    • Echocardiograms (Adult / Pedia)
    • Transesophageal Echo (TOE)
    • Echocardiograms with Contrast
    • Dobutamine Stress Echo

  • Sleep Disorders Lab

    The following procedures are routinely performed in the Sleep Disorders Lab;
    • Polysomnography Testing (PSG)
    • PSG and CPAP Titration (Continuous Positive Airways Pressure Therapy) ie, Split Night Study.
    • CPAP titration study
    • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
    • CPAP machine education and mask fitting.

  •  Neurophysiology Lab

    The following diagnostic procedures are routinely performed in the Neurophysiology Lab;
    • Electroencephalography (EEG) testing.
    • Portable EEG testing.
    • Electromyography (EMG) testing.
    • EMG combined with BOTOX treatment.
    • Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)
    • Visual Evoked Response (VER)
    • Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER)
