For a Hygienic Vacation 
Each season has its own health problems and concerns about health and physical safety. However, it is in the summer that most of these health issues take place.

In summer, people are more active and mobile and more engaged in different social and personal activities. They change their accommodation, eat different and may be new types of food and give more freedom to their children to go out and spend time in different playing activities. Consequently the rate of accidents, injuries and diseases rises during this season.
 
 
 

Below are some advice to help diminish injuries and health problems that may disturb the joy of vacations, holidays and travel, especially for kids and teenagers. Furthermore, included are some advices to help you make the best use of the summer vacation.

  • Exercise: Try to involve your entire family in fun physical fitness exercises that help you feel more invigorated and energetic in the hot summer times. Choose activities that match the nature and preferences of your family and the available facilities such as walking, jogging, swimming, football, volleyball, etc. 
  • Safety: Make sure to be safe whenever you are practicing a physical activity. For example, if you go swimming, make sure that the swimming pools comply with safety conditions so as to avoid injury.

  • Aquatic sports: They are getting more popular, especially those to do with canoes, water cycles and skiing. These sports are dangerous especially if used without complying with safety requirements.  

 

   
 
  • Bicycling: It is most fun in temperate climates. Yet, riders should use helmets to protect their heads in case of falls or accidents.

  • Hiking and picnicking: In summer vacationers, we normally go out to do some nature walks which might put us in the danger of rodents, insects, and reptiles that might sting and harm. Thus it is prudent to know what to do in case of stings and bites. Luckily, most stings are not serious and can be treated without the need to go to a hospital.
  • Playgrounds: Have a look around the yard before allowing your kids to play in the playground to see if there are risks of falling or getting wounded, and check that the seesaws and climbing ropes are safe.

  • Food Poison: Take care not to be poisoned from food as people in the summer are more likely to buy foods from restaurants which might cause food poison, diarrhea or colic.
   
 
  • In picnics: It is important not to rush making food and take extra care when storing it to prevent the food from getting rotten.
