Upon the directives and follow up of HE Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs (MNGHA), Medical Services Department and MNG-HA celebrated the graduation of 232 military health personnel who completed two courses in “Medical Care for Pre-Hospital Injuries” and “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation” at the main hall at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Al-Ahsa. The graduation was witnessed distinguished attendance.

Major General Doctor Khalid Mohammed Al-Juhani , Head of Military Medical Services Department, Head of Aviation Medicine Unit has pointed out that the main objective of these courses is to enhance the readiness of the healthcare providers at MNG-HA. These courses are essential components of the skills required to achieve the professional efficiency of healthcare providers.”

Maj.-Gen. Dr. Al-Juhani explained: “ The beginning was at Al Ahsa and from their we will move to all Saudi Arabia regions”. He added: “These courses relate to the health and life of the injured at critical times. The training package includes three courses, one of the courses covers some of the emergencies that can be passed by the patient or the injured, and it consists of a cardiac resuscitation course that is intended to cover any cardiac medical emergency for any patient or injured.”

He also said: “Medical Care for Pre-Hospital Injuries course is accredited from American College of Surgeons. It has significant role in decreasing the death percentage.” He added: “one of our goals is to synchronize as a military health organization in the footsteps of the Saudi Arabia vision 2030, which is small part of the inclusive plan of MNG-HA.”

The graduates exceeded 232 from Al-Ahsa and Dammam which is according to Maj.-Gen. Dr. Al-Juhani “ A number that does not meet our ambitions”. He asserted: “This is the beginning and the health personnel at National Guard are more than 3500 who will be included in the courses according to the plan.”
