Emergency Medicine Department is the front door of the Hospital which is open 24/7 for any critical or emergency and urgent cases of all ages and both gender of the national guard personnel, their dependent and some private sector personnel on business bases. The mission is to include excellent employees to provide the best patient care that satisfies all visitors to the hospital.

Division Capacity

The ER has 17 clinical beds including one resuscitation room and one isolation room. The number of daily visitors of the ER ranges from 150 to 180 per day – that is around 5000/month- 60000/year.

10% to 12% of these patients are admitted to hospital daily, making the ER as the main source of patient admission to the hospital.

Scope of Services

The ER is open to serve any critical, life, limb and lifesaving patients of all genders and ages. None eligible patients are also accepted for emergency and resuscitation management. These critical cases include but not limited to trauma, cardiac, respiratory and Ob-Gyn patients. The commonest cases we encounter are patients with abdominal pain due to variable causes of acute abdomen. We have the stand-alone Respiratory Clinic where suspected infectious cases like covid-19 & MERS-Cov patients are managed without mixing them with the other ones in the main hospital.
