    • Family Medicine Clinics service

  • The total number of registered population at C&FM centers during year 2010 was 214,655 and patients’ visit was 536,117 visits.
  • The most five common diseases encountered at the C&FM centers, WR, were upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) 55,243, Diabetes 26,640,   Muscles 17,802, Stomach 16,499 & Hypertension 15,385.
  • The percentage of referred cases at all the C&FM centers was only 14,479cases (2.7%).
  • The total number of patients seen at the general practice (family medicine) clinics was 310,428 visits.
  • The total number of medical prescriptions at C&FM centers was 286,874 prescriptions with an average 3.2 items per a prescription.
  • The total number of laboratory tests was 193,260 tests.
  • The total number of patients seen at the X-ray department was 14,400 patients.
    • Nursing service

  • Total number of SN nurses at all F&CM centers 166 nurses and 33 military aid men pulse 9 vacant positions by the end of 2011.
  • 5 DPP (Department policy & Procedure) for PHC Nursing Practice were developed – for approval.
  • Total of 7 staff  nurses completed the Diabetic Educator Course
  • Medication Safety Committee developed in most of the centers.
  • Most of the PHC staff nurses attended the Immunization & Vaccination Updates course on 26 January, 10 May, 25 Oct & 26 Oct. 2011.
  • Total of 6 staff nurses are certified as Triage provider and instructor from different centers (KFRC- Jeddah, KKRC-  Taif, Sharaie, MSC & Bahra) to support, supervise & maintain the quality of the triage in their centers.
    • Continuous Medical Education service

  • Communication & Consultation Skills Course & Train the trainers courses were conducted each three times per year 2011.
  • Total of 37 trainees in Family Medicine (R1-R4); 22 at the Joint program in Jeddah, 10 in Taif, 2 in Madinah and 3 in Makkah.
  • Total of 4 trainees in Saudi board Community medicine program they are at level R1 & R3.
  • Graduates for the year   2011/2012:  3 females Family medicine  & 6 males Family medicine
    • Community and Preventive Medicine service

  • The total number of students have seen at preschool clinics were 1548 students (556 in Jeddah and 992 in Taif).
  • The most common health problems detected during pre-school clinics were dental caries (obesity 8%, underweight 7%, anemia 6.3%)
  • Total of 241 water sample were collected (183 from military facilitates, 39 from F&CM clinics & 19 from Taif), 30 (12%) samples were unfit for human use, and total of 122 health certificates were issued (77 in Jeddah & 45 in Taif).
  • Chickenpox was the most reported diseases (75 cases) 77% of total reported cases during year 2011.
  • MMR vaccination campaign were conducted as the following: 3,287 vaccinated students at Jeddah, 3,392 vaccinated students at Taif, 59 medical students, 151 nursing students, 1510 children at KFRC-Jeddah & 1588 children at KKRC-Taif.
  • Series of educational lectures are performed at N.G. military training center, schools and the C&FM centers, and educational materials were developed such for MMR campaign (4 banners, 60 posters, 10,000 brochures, & 1000 flyers).
  • The Future of Oral Health Conference was conducted on 4th Jan 2011 and 270 health professional were attended, the GCC Oral Week (26-30 Mar 2011) was activated at the three Jeddah’s F&CM clinics,  
  • The total number participated at the anti-smoking program was 215, total of 117 (54%) quit. The successful rate was about 60% .
  • The training was provided for 300 nurses’ students, 31medical students and interns, 13 Community Medicine Residents.

  • Preparation  of  all  PHC  standard  requirements on Oct, Nov, Dec 2011

  • Conducted of Preventive  Care  Workshop on 10th Oct at KFRC-Jeddah clinics

    • Operation service

  • Temporary staff accommodations were provided for staff in Taif, Madeina, Yanbou, MSC, & Jazan during 2011.
  • The scrap items of PHC Centers are properly evaluated and scrapped during 2011.
  • Parking Shade, Bed Curtain, Reception Counter, Interior Sign Boards & Emergency Back-up Generators were processed in 2011 at all PHC centers and to be completed in 2012.
  • Two Patient educators, two health educators, four SNII , 5SNI & one PCT were created during 2011.
  • Forty-nine (49%) Percent of the vacant positions at the beginning of year 2011 were filled and occupied at the end of the year.
  • As per approved of CEO, the basic salary of all PHC staff physicians B are adjusted to SR 12,000 effective Aug 2011.
  • UmAlsalam PHC center was completed and became fully operational by end of Oct 2011.
