Objectives:

-Discuss the burden & impact of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) locally & globally and the urgent need for change in antimicrobial prescribing practices

-Understand the one health approach and the role of healthcare workers in antimicrobial stewardship

-Understand mechanisms of AMR and management of MDRO infections through case discussions

-Discuss the approach to diagnosis and management with a stewardship focus of pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and others

-Identify solutions to stewardship dilemmas including vaccination, diagnostic stewardship, and other low hanging fruits in pediatrics and adults
