Rapid Assessment Management Unit
Rapid Assessment Management Unit (RAM) functions as the main ED assessment and initial selected management unit for all non-critical and non-suspected acute respiratory illness patients.
It is the area where the decision to either triage away to other facility, send home or sign-in for further assessment and management in either the Acute Care Unit, Clinical Decision Unit or Acute Admission Specialized Unit.
