Professional Experience:

  • LinkDot.net, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Content Author- NGHA E-Health Department.  

Collaborated with a team of professionals to establish updated website portals in an effort to portray the evolving Saudi National Guard Health Affairs and KSAU-HS. (4/2009-Pesent).

    • Researched, composed and edited numerous documents for the NGHA and KSAU-HS portals. 
    • Re-edited previously posted articles on both portals.
    • Researched requirements and worked towards compliance for successful HON accreditation for the NGHA portal.
    • Created Sports Activities page as well as the KSA in Focus page with updates for the KSAU-HS portal.
    • Searched, resized, and created photos for use on the portals. 
    • Improvised in creating banners and other graphics to add interest and represent the content of the pages.
    • Prepared the COM portal by team effort with E-Health and COM staff in obtaining rich and updated content.
  • Rowad International School, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Head of Kindergarten Department. 

Successfully improved the program and built up student/teacher resources, program mastery, staff interactions, limited student teacher ratios, and improved student safety issues. Additionally pushed for Developmentally Appropriate Practices, evaluated both program and facility for adherence to NAEYC guidelines.  (2003/4, 2004/5 and 2005/6). 

    • Responsible for all communications, oral and written between staff and parents.  Included parent information booklets, weekly plans, program activities, and notifications.
    • Revised student assessment forms and daily contact journals.
    • Created teacher education documents/brochures towardsincreasing teacher effectiveness.
    • Conducted internal professional development workshops on ADHD, Innovative Teaching Skills, Classroom Management, and Organizational Teaching Methods.
    • Successfully helped to build reputation of the school and expand the Kindergarten enrollment by 40%.
  • American International School of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:  Substitute teacher for Kindergarten - Elementary classes.

Responsible for fulfilling class plans and activities for elementary grades.  Worked under no supervision demonstrating self-motivation and resourcefulness, completing and expanding the lesson plans.

 

•Brighter Horizons School, Richardson, Texas: Office Manager. Assumed office management mid-year.

Integrated new system to streamline pay roll, registration, accounts receivable, and inventory.  Inducted a new Student Supply program to simplify and unify students’ supplies and reduce parent stress in purchasing such supplies. Responsibilities also included teacher supervision, inventory, supervision of lunch program, and all Parent/School communications including editing of Parent newsletter. (01/93 - 07/93)

Activities:        

  • Author of two blog sites on Islamic awareness and education. Islamzpeace incorporates a variety of articles some which are unrelated to Islam but are useful and draw readers to the site. Photographs are also utilized to attract readers and accurately reflect the content of the articles.
