The Neurology section continues to comply with the mission of NGHA that is to provide the highest quality of neurology services to the National Guard personnel and their eligible dependants as well as other eligible patients. Promote research, training and neurological education in NGHA and in the Kingdom as a whole.
There have been an increased number of inpatients and outpatients seen in Neurology section, as well as in EMG, NCS and EEG. Dr. Attar continues to establish movement disorder clinic.
Protocols for most common neurological disease and patient education materials were established.
The section is in need of Stroke Unit, as it is mandatory due to the large number of stroke patients, but still clinical pathway is not followed due to lack of manpower
